UKRAM posting stats for March 2018

Posts.....108 [Record low: 18 posts, November 2017]

Posters.....25 [Record low: November 2017, 8 posters]

New threads....20 [Record lows Jul & Apr 2017, Nov 2016, 5 new threads]

This is the first time since October 2017 that the number of posts in a
calendar month has exceeded 100, postings having peaked two years ago in
March 2016 with 521 messages.

Regression analyses using data available up to the end of the current
period data suggest that at the estimated date for the 5000th post,
there will be a deficit of between 155 and 198 posts, in turn suggesting
that the rate of decline has not only been maintained, but has somewhat
increased.

"RSGBTech is meant for everyone", or so the RSGB says. The group is
moderated 'to
ensure that the questions are on topic', but the group's own admissions
policy mention
(a pre-) 'vet', 'known', 'trouble', and 'maker', but not the vetting
policy! None of these are
'moderation' issues and none are mentioned in the RSGB's Guidelines.....

Formerly against the setting up of that group, I am now finding it to be
a useful NG to get proper grown-up and useful replies. There is reputed
to be an RSGBTech facility claiming such a characteristic but there is
no evidence to support the claims made for it.

Isn't it heartening to see that a niche-interest forum on long-near dead
medium Usenet in 2018 is doing so well?

Usenet distributes on average, 79 million posts per day

IN 2017 that figure was 65 million, in 2016 is was 55 million.

Not really a dying medium, no matter how many times you regurgitate this
bullshit.
