As the result of doing today's Telegraph Toughie Crossword,
I have learnt a neologism to me, Wonk.

It seems that anyone, which would include every radio amateur,
who is pre-occupied with the minutiae of any specialist
subject is a wonk.

I think you'll find 7 down is actually GEEK.
You probably also got 7 across, 11 across and 14 across wrong.
